What's required from you to become a member of Förenade Nationsmanskören?
That question is easily answered using only one wordInterest!
The interest to sing at large or small concerts, on trips to near
and far, in sunshine and in rain, at the pub or on the square.
You will pick up the rest during the semester.
Förenade nationsmanskören consists of close to a hundred students,
with a wide range of background and experience. Some are well
experienced singers with a thorough knowledge of male choir music.
Others have just recently discovered the fantastic feeling of a
hundred men jointly breaking into song. The common denominator is
the interest!
Experience will of course come naturally as you go.
Förenade Nationsmanskören do not require that you are able to
read music or have previous choi-experience. The learning process is
much faster than you think. A couple of hours on Thursday evenings
during the semester ahead, followed by a voluntary post-rehearsal
pub-session, and you will be well familiar with choir-music before
you can say Förenade Nationsmanskören in Lund.
Do not hesitate! Everyone is a singer. Most of us just never
tried. E-mail the vice chairman of Förenade Nationsmanskören,
Hampus Rein, to announce your interest! Also e-mail if you
have any choir-related questions of any kind. You are also very
welcome to simply show up for one of our rehearsals in the auditorium at the school Spyken
on all thursdays to join in.
